Para sa akon nga mga Ido [series]

For my Dogs [series]

This style sprouted from the grave of my four dogs Hotta Hottie, Pucca, Ku’ub and Dotcom (enumerated to correspond their death in chronological order). Especially Ku’ub who died at a very young age (10 months) because of blood parasitism. He became very weak in his last days of his life only for me to realize how strongly he endured one month of internal pain. But he did not look as if he was suffering and he just showed us that he was okay and happy, that even strengthen our bond.

When he finally surrendered, he was in the animal hospital and I was absent. He bid farewell to my Father that night. The sadness mixed in the air while I was working on my painting. I felt it. Strange, like a thread snapped from a far distance. The next morning, I cried.

Life really is tucked in a frame. We are limited. We need this to express ourselves with others – to our families or soul-connections. And we are vulnerable. Let vulnerability be the strength in our relationship.
